That might have been a consequence of a 4 hour+ match yesterday
That is my assumption.
Yes, and my 10p premise. The fact that he won the first set and then lost the next two so easily would seem to back it up.
However, Aidan's had a decent few weeks in India, and his ranking should reflect that when they points go on after Miami (haven't done the calculations - was always on dodgy ground with that and it's now WELL outside of my zone of even minor competence, but must be positive, surely.....)
Aidan's week 10 RU points are already counted. Just this week 12 QF 2 (net 1) points will add on Monday ( OER and live-tennis both agree this ) with this week's 2 (net1) points adding a week on Monday so I'm afraid not much further to add for now. But overall yes it's been a decent few weeks in India.
Fair point in general re dodgy doing much live rankings calcs just now. For instance I see that OER and live-tennis currently have many differences for the live rankings of the top 20 GB men and women. I intend to mark which does best ( and have my own go ). In normal times my money would be on OER but the ATP and WTA are not exactly making it easy for anyone just now.
I'd thought the RU points hadn't gone on because of the two-week Miami event delaying points being added. But hadn't checked and am no doubt out by a week (at least)
I also haven't really got used to a final only giving you 6 points now (it is 6, yes?)
It seems very skinny......
Anyway, he'll just have to go on and get some more points from somewhere

Yep, just 6 points for RU and 10 points for a 15K title.
Aidan's 6 (net 5) points added on 22/03 and took him from WR 559 to WR 544.
