No dosh earned (though he'll pick up at least 5,275 euros from the main draw), but 12 points in the bag!

I see that 2 years ago at this time Liam was WR 333 and rather than reaching the MDs in an ATP Masters and then ATP 250 was playing ITF 25Ks in Bolton and Sunderland, losing in R2 and R1 respectively.

Though at the end of April he did, as had been more traditional with him, wake up quite a few months into the year and reach the Leon, Mexico Challenger final.

Great how he has started this year.

Struff beat Sousa (Portuguese Sousa) 7-5 final set and will play the winner of Liam's match. That will be a step up but a very good test and a free shot really for Liam if he gets through this opener - looking good currently!
