And I never underestimate a British sportsman's or woman's ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of (expected) victory.
Yes, but it's easy to say 'of course they might lose'. It gives an out. It just covers bases. Because it's obviously true, overall. And everything can be hedged in 'ifs and ands'.
