I reckon Dan's chances against Stefanos are negligible.
But my best case scenario for his match against Novak was that he avoided embarassment. Normally, the No1 will expect to beat the no.30 even when they are having an off day, even more so when the underdog is on his least favourite surface. So the win against ND was an anamoly, a flash in the pan. The chances Dan backing up the best win of his career? Even more negligible. David Gofffin has won a shed load of matches on thhe dirt, Dan hardly any. DG is a consummate pro, and this is a big tournament he will be going the extra yard....
I haven't dug into the data, but I think a player in the semi final of both singles and doubles in a Masters Series event is very unusual. I'm sure that resident nerds/statasticians will enlighten us as to when it last happened!
