Another really good week for Neal. And epic week for Dan

If not with Dan in the longer term, it looks as if Neal is at a level he should have a really top partner to pursue the bjggest prizes.

Now I realise that he won the Acapulco ATP 500 with Ken recently and the Jamie pairing didn't work out as well as hoped ( how 'top' Jamie still is may be another question ). Plus the brothers look as if they have a great relationship. But is there a case for that partner being someone other than Ken?

I think your probably right, tbh. Neal is playing exceptionally at the moment. It is funny to me because I remember people five years ago people were saying it was Neal dragging Ken down, Ken used to be a top 50 etc etc.

I also agree with this , question would be who on the longer term, cant see Dan wanting to commit and I actually think Ken will make this a final season anyway.

I think Ken and Neal will be together for the short to medium term. Ken sacrificed his ranking when he was younger to drag Neal up and Neal will want to repay the favour.

Longer term, if the bros don't have amazing success I would love to see Neal and Joe team up. Not sure how long Rajeev is looking to play for.

Neal and Joe struck me as an option as well. Be interesting to see - of course non British partners are also available and plentiful

The article I posted in another thread about Dan from the telegraph also mentioned Dan having time with Neal was like having a mate around, they obviously get on well.

There's a lot to weigh up in doubles partnerships, are you compatible as individuals, do you fit well as a partnership. Do you want the same things from playing, is one half also playing singles and likely to drop out at later stages etc., etc.,
This partnership worked well and I really admire Dan for not ditching his doubles when he went deep in singles.
I love watching doubles and there's no doubt in my mind that it gets more casual followers when the well know singles players are participating - this goes for the women game as well.
Inevitably this leads into whether best of 3 in the mens game in early rounds at the majors would give doubles a boost.

Before you ask I'm an avid watcher , with zero skill or experience being monocular !

I noticed that the ATP have added a second Belgrade ATP 250 as well as the one in Parma for the week vacated by the French Open moving back. So after Rome, we have Geneva and Lyon and Belgrade 2 and Parma now.
