That's a really hard draw for Blu, to get the top seed.

But it's good to see his name in an ITF event, as opposed to just those UTR ones.

It feels like this is a big event for Paul and Aidan, having made the move to come across here for what I think is just one event.

Presumably neither will be seeded in what appears to be a strong field? Hope they get a decent draw out of it!

Indeed, one occasion where that might not be a bad thing!

Yeah, he got a couple of wild cards in the clay events around South America recently, too much comment as well. Would be good to see Blu beat him but to be honest, Kicker is ex top 80 so it seems unlikely!

From his Wiki page:

Kicker was suspended for six years and fined $25,000 for committing match-fixing offences under the Tennis Anti-Corruption Program. He was banned from professional tennis until January 2021.

I thought I hadn't seen his name for a while.  I don't recall the case, but that's a long ban!

I think it turned out to be 3 years of those being suspended , he was banned in 2018 and so came back after 3 years in 2021, February I think...but it was a bad case for sure and it is upset many folks that the South American events have been offering him wild cards!

Yes, there was another player getting all sorts of WC's as well as Kicker for something equally as dodgy but can't remember who he is now

 It was Nicholas Jarry

Jarry was a doper. He is still ranked 370 (presumably his ban worked out just right for him with frozen rankings) and guess what...he is also in this event as 6th seed...

Thank you! Jarry, yes. Seems they are doing the comeback tour together almost.

3 years as he is educating players on the dangers of match fixing. Apparently

Yes - see here. Kicker is actually named.

From his Wiki page:

Match-fixing testimony

Trungelliti was contacted by match-fixers in 2015 who told him that players could earn from a few thousand dollars for fixing a Futures level match up to $50,000 to $100,000 for fixing an ATP level event. Trungelliti reported the event to the Tennis Integrity Unit (TIU) and the subsequent investigation, which finished in 2017, led to bans for three Argentinian players
