Right I know nothing about Fery but from the bits Ive seen hes short but a good mover and solid backhand? Anyone have any actual concrete info on him haha

 Yes lots smile

He's French (i.e. French mum and dad) But grew up here.

Mum was a professional player. Dad owns LOrient football club (and is some big swinger in fund management or some such)

So he wasn't really one of the LTAs for a long time but had a full team behind him so that hardly mattered (might have helped.....)

Yes, not very tall (which is strange coz his mum is very tall for a woman, and his Dad must be 6 ft)

I've always liked him because (a) the French connection (b) the LTA didn't, and (c) he's a real mixer upper on court - he thinks, he likes the spaces, the angles, he comes in, he sees it well.

People used to rave about Toby Samuel and others. But Felix and Arthur are a great cohort. And always stood out. (Felix - being lefty maybe? - has some more spectacular shots but they're both very good in their own way)

However, now comes the hard time for both - closing it out

Stuart lost the first 4-6

But golden rule against golden oldies - hang in there - drag out the match.

And he's now 3-0 in the second

A real rush of blood to the head of the first point, and missing the line by a fraction on th second, made that tricky for Felix. Got back to 30-30 but got broken and now 5-5

Kept his head really well. Missed two MPs (well, missed the first one and then got beaten on the second)

But managed to change ends and keep calm and take the next two.

Thrilled for him ! Thoroughly deserved......

And exactly what was on the cards after his match against Bolt last week.

Well played Felix! Pretty solid match I thought. Should jump about 130 up to the 850's as well.
