Lajovic or Simon next - Simon will be a war of attrition for sure, but both are ones dan should win these days

Who's the idiot doing the voiceover on BBC2?  She's doing an even better job of butchering the pronunciation of the foreign players' names than Sue Barker - or Mike Bushell, come to that!  furious

And looking beyond that, Evo's potential seed in R3, (15) Alex de Minaur, has been beaten in 4 sets by Sebastian Korda. Korda will play a qualifier in R2.

Chanda Rubin was commentating with Sam Smith on the Barty match, not sure if that's who you mean.

No, it's not.  Definitely not Rubin, who's obviously a Yank (even confused her with Tracy Austin until Sam addressed her as "Chanda").  That match was, I think, on BBC1.  It wasn't commentary on any match in particular.  It was an unfamiliar Scottish female, who was stuggling to maintain continuity, for want of a better way of describing it, by mentioning results or matches due to be  played while there was no live coverage for a short time on BBC2.  I think it then switched to showing highlights of Katie Boulter's very welcome win over Danielle Lao yesterday.

Katherine Downes or Alison Mitchell ? From the list of commentators on https://www.tennisontelly.uk/#h.e5jpjkflppl8  they are the only two I think might be possible.

Never heard of either of them.  Is one of them Scottish?  Are they both?  Either way, she made a right pig's ear of most of the foreign names.

I think they are both English, actually. Who was the Scottish commentator at the UKPro series - anyone remember ? Probably in a thread here somewhere.

I was expecting him to go down in straight sets, so young Jack did well to take a set off the bloody Serb.

L128:  Egor Gerasimov (BLR) WR 73 defeated (WC) Jay Clarke WR 230 by 6-3 3-6 7-6(5) 6-2
