Dan vs Korda and Andy vs Shapovalov are 2nd and 3rd on Centre on Friday after Jabeur vs Muguruza.

Djokovic slumming it on Court 1.

I've just watched SmugFed trying to get the crowd onside in his postmatch oncourt interview. I just hope that they do support Cam. It'll be horrible if it's like Andy matches when they used to supprt Fed over him.

I hope on Saturday they dont run it against the football at 8 pm. That would be shortsighted. Need to make it the opening match or 2nd on court.

As SC confirmed, 3 Brits into men's R3 for the first time since 1999. Only the USA has more with 4. Australia, Italy and Russia also have 3.

Like at RG, France has no men or women into R3. Clearly RG was more embarrassing for them but it must be rare for them to have particularly no men into Wimbledon R3.

I'm liking Dan's draw!  Spose it's the big advantage of being seeded.  Dan knows that if he plays at his best level, he has a really good chance of making the SF.  I realise I'm not helping his chances this afternoon by making such statements.

Now if only I can manage to skive offf work this afternoon....

I watched Korda on Tuesday, that is not an easy match, he is going to need his A game if Korda plays at the same level.

Korda is definitely good and getting better, maturing as the season progresses. I feel a 5 setter on the cards, here, I also feel that for Andy. Could be a long day!!

Yes, I didn't watch it live

But I saw quite a bit on TV because, as per my other post, and Andy's interest in the family, it's quite a story.

And, yes, very impressed.....

Agree with your conclusion

it is actually a v tough and yet completely open section. I would take Tiafoe to beat Khachanov , maybe in 4. Dan over Korda is a 5 setter for me; I think Shapo will be one step too far for Andy, but maybe 5 sets. and Koepfer knows the grass but we mustnt forget RBA was a semifinalist here recently, so also knows his stuff; I will take Koepfer there again.

I think we could see a Dan v Shapo last 8 and personally think Shapo will prevail to the semis but so much want Dan and Andy to prove me wrong.

In Cam v Fed - after round one, I would have really fancied Cam, but Fed played much better yesterday. If Cam can keep Fed on court over 3 hours, he may be able to push this to 5 sets and prevail, but I thnk Fed will do it in 4...

it is a great last 32 draw, IMO

Djokovic-Kudla - Kudla could challenge, he knows grass, Djoko will win
Garín-Martínez
Schwartzman-Fucsovics - both are decent players
Fognini-Rublev - could be spicey

Tiafoe-Khachanov - upset on cards here
Evans-Korda - biggg match
Shapovalov-Murray - biggest match!
Koepfer-RBA - Koepfer could cause an upset here

Berrettini-Bedene - pick for final versus Italian star - JK; Berrettini could get to final , versus ex Brit Bedene
Ivashka-Thompson
FAA-Kyrgios - great match to look forward to
Fritz-Zverev - Fritz could challenge Zverev

Federer-Norrie - tasty!
Sonego-Duckworth - fancy the Aussie here
Hurkacz-Bublik - could be entertaining
Cilic-Medvedev - fancy the old timer here as well

Going for last 8 of

Djokovic v Rublev
Dan v Shapo
Berrettini v Nick K
Fed v Cilic

Semis -

Djoko v Shapo
Berretini v Fed

Final

Djoko v Berretini

Djoko I think will win it...
