Not been watching. But how many times has that been said about Andy and proved to be wrong?!

Though it looks to be getting rather more tricky!

Impressive.  Shapo made it look like a stroll in the park.  cry  Ah well, all good things have to come to an end some time.  Come on, Cam!

Definitely a match too far for Andy, but such an achievement to get to R3 this week. Shapo was very impressive and I thought his words were lovely.

Those of us of a certain age on the forum, will remember Korda Senior winning the Australian open, after being a average mid player for years, and it was beyond reasonable doubt he was doping (found guilty and banned within a few months). More importantly he denied Rios a grand slam, and thus remains the only former world number 1 not to win a slam.  To see Korda cheering from the stands makes me feel sick. He should be banned from the grounds of all atp and slam events.

But Agassi wasnt doing Peds was he, he was doing crystal meth, coke as well. much as that was silly, and against the rules, I dont castigate Andre for that.

Personally Ive committed much bigger sins , crimes than Andre so I tend not to judge him on that. Peds I do hate and match fixing I despise .

 I agree, overall.

I also found it extremely irritating that the commentators of Seb's match were eulogising the family (which is fine, it's a great story) but did not mention once the doping offence by the father.

A really tough draw for Murray and Shapovalov played very well, Centre Court seemed to inspire him.

For Andy I think his movement looked good considering hes had so few matches . I dont think he should be too disappointed whereas Evans should have lots of regrets .

Stuart fraser was tweeting that at Andys presser , he was commenting on he has to think after all that effort to come back and get beaten like that, is it all worth it. He felt it was worrying Andy seemed quite down at the end of his press interview.

Honestly Im leaving Wimbledon stunned by that last answer. Thought there was some hope for Andy Murray after this week but the man himself is struggling to see it tonight. Might be heat of the moment but hes clearly reaching breaking point with all the rehab/training required.

Andy Murray after his worst ever Wimbledon defeat tonight by fewest games won: "There is a part of me that feels a bit like I have put in so much work the last three months and ultimately didn't play how I would want and expect, and it's like is it worth it?"

I mean...he has been on/off injured for the last 2 years. Ever match is a bonus Andy match. In another life, he would've retired in 2019. Only Andy himself can know what it is worth.

I think this shows the value of press interviews. (Re Osaka etc)

It's a truly honest reaction - sh*t, is it really worth it?

BUT it's the reaction in the heat of the moment - before he's slept on it, and thought about things coolly.

His feeling today, or in a week's time, might be the same.

But there's no reason it should be.

The BBC version of the interview says it all depends whether he can get a lot of court time in the next few months.

But I think it's great the public can get a glimpse of what he's thinking.

Mo Farah said the same last week when he failed to get the Olympic qualifying time.  I'm not sure what Andy expected to be honest. I think 3rd round after his injuries should be celebrated. Denis is no mug, it's not like he lost to a journeyman.  Anyway the alternative is sitting at home with 4 kids under 6, I know which I'd choose.
