Do we think Mimi will go to Aus for junior slam or sip it in favour of senior events?

Mimi will be an interesting watch in 2025. Noticed she was with the seniors at the NTC the other week training, which suggests to me she will be playing more senior events. She may go for the AO junior title so she has one in her CV. After that who knows. One of my favourite young players, gets her head down and goes for it! Dont see many wobbles.

Not surprised. Think she would like a junior slam and with alot of juniors moving to seniors might be her best chance.

Yes, and it's not just what she wants.

I've always said that the players from the rich federations tend to keep playing junior grand slams - their federations want them too (the junior departments then get mega prestige) and because the support programme is important, they have the leverage

The girls from the less rich countries tend to follow the prizemoney earlier because they have no choice

Mimi is in Oz . Pics of PR activity on her socials. No sign of any obvious injuries so could have been illness? Anyway good to see her there following her withdrawal in Thailand.

Just reading, though unconfirmed source, that Mimi is currently based in Japan for training purposes?

 Interesting

She's certainly entered into the W100 in Gifu, Japan in the week of 28th April - and that's her #1 choice

Which would make sense if she's based over there, temporarily or longer term
