Unusual that a few weeks before the Olympics we have a draw this week. Obviously, Covid has had an impact but it certainly feels like the only thing tennis players are taking seriously is the opening ceremony. I fear this may jeopardize tennis participation in the Olympics going forward. Shame (at least for me). It would've been nice for fans to see a Stefanos/Sakkari or a few other top singles players team-up.

I am afraid I don't think tennis mixed doubles should be anywhere near the Olympics.

If within tennis the Slams wish to have it fair enough but this very occasional pick a partner event as an Olympic medal event - just no.

Aidan and Emily are also in - and they have a first round bye ! They have taken the place of Mahut and Mladenovic, the top seeds.

 

ETA:- Can't see Anton and Naiktha in the draw at the moment

 Brilliant! Pleased for Arthur. (And Tara too).

Shame Felix didn't get a play (given he played far better than Aidan and Aidan got two tries and Felix none). 

But it's not an issue. He'll have plenty of time. 

Just pleased so many Brits are taking part....
