Rather uneven spread in the draw of our 12 British or part British pairs.

6 in quarter 1: 3 through to R2 from 2 byes and a w/o with a 4th to come. 1 out by w/o (Lloyd & Jodie).

0 in quarter 2

5 in quarter 3: 3 won their R1 to reach R2, 2 lost

1 in quarter 4: lost

So in total 6 into R2/L32 wirh a 7th to come from Ken+ vs Arthur & Tara.

The draw also shows a space for another alt ( who is due a bye ) even though there has been one w/o.

Michael Venus and "Angel" Chan Hao-Ching have withdrawn from mixed doubles, so Naomi Broady and Jeremy Chardy will wait and see if any alternates sign in with the benefit of a bye, otherwise they have a walkover into the third round.

It's the first time i've seen Arthur Fery play. Another impressive young talent. He and Tara won their first set against Ken Skupsi and Jessica Pegula.
