Really not sure. My friend knows somebody at the club and he has the current entry list. Im not sure where he is getting it from however it seems like this is the entry list and there might be a few wild cards added. Surely there is a website somewhere for this league

There is but they dont always provide much advance info!
So its changed to 4 groups of 3.
Group A
1.JULIAN CASH
2.OSCAR WEIGHTMAN
3.TOM HANDS
Group B
1.JOSH PARIS
2.LLEWELYN BEVAN
3.MAX BASING
Group C
1.ALEXIS CANTER
2.JACK GIBBENS
3.LUI MAXTED
Group D
1.CHARLES BROOM
2.SEAN HODKIN
3.PATRICK FOLEY
So looks like youll play 2 out of the first 3 days. The top 2 in each group go to the quarter finals. The bottom teams play another round robin.
The playoffs scheduled for days 4-6 with the finals on day 7. So I guess you get one more rest day. Seems to make sense as the amount of players that had been pulling out due to injury during the previous weeks and last year wasnt helping.
hoping to catch a bit of Charlies match in my lunch break. Charlie and Sean have been training together at Gosling and have ended up in the same pool!
Caught the end of the tiebreak between Julian C and Oscar W - Oscar a bit taller, but not change much since I last saw him play 5 or 6 years ago. Julian won.
In Pool B, Max Basing took the first set and then Josh Paris retired. So I wonder how that leaves it with Max due to play Llewelyn Bevan tomorrow? DOes Paris withdraw now/get excluded from last 8? Or does a retirement not matter and it goes to set countback - as he get more games than Bevan, my maths would say that even if Bevan wins tomorrow in straight sets, Josh would be guaranteed a last 8 spot on set and games count back - would it be cynical to say he knew that and maybe strategically withdrew at that point? It probably would be disingenuous of me and still doesnt answer would he be out having withdrawn at this stage from a match?
Semis are cash v basing and Maxted v broom. If Julian cash wins this event he will move 2nd in the rankings. I think he sits 4th having reached the semis.
So that's two youngsters (Maxted (2003) and Basing (2002)), versus two ex-college boys (I know Max is at/off to college too, but he's my youngster here).
That's a nice, useful set of four. Good luck to them.

Lui M also off to college in the fall - so the former vs the rising college boys. Interesting
