Nice clutch win for Ryan and Nick

Ryan doing well - he plays Basic in singles I think and despite lower rankings, Basic and Jaziri probably would have been favourites as they are both decent singles players

First set Jay 6-3. Ryan lost the first set by the same score.

Silly unforced errors at exactly the wrong moment saw Ryan get broken and subsequently lose the first set.

Jay has taken his first set, though, 6-3

I saw on livescores Ryan has picked up a code violation, any idea what was behind it?

 Hi, no, sorry.

I watched for 10 mins in the middle, on and off.

In fact, in the bit I saw, it was Basic that was arguing the hind leg off a donkey when I watched (with the umpire - rather irritatingly - saying 'I trust you, I trust you....' - it was probably just the language but it came across rather condescendingly and was certainly annoying Basic)

Just watched Jay serve out the match - lovely to finish on an ace

6-3 6-3

Jay doing himself good this week, that should be at least 9 places up this week now.

Ryan also got some points that put him within touching distance of his CH, just 3 places off it.

Really hoping Jay can get back up the rankings and then kick on even higher, not the sternest of opposition but good to see him put back to back wins together.
