Well done Cam - and has defended his 90 points dropping from last year.

Cam versus Fritz looks v much a 50-50 call. They are 3 all H2H, most of their matches have gone to 3 sets, on hardcourts, Fritz won last time out in Miami.

Coin toss, this one.

Nakashima won the last QF and plays Isner now in the semis. They dont seem to have played before, but I see Tennis Abstract rates Isner a strong favourite and , overall, has Isner and Cam pretty much level to win the thing - Cam is actually a 56% chance over Fritz in the semifinal match up

In the end, not so tough (Fritz had an arm injury but the trainer did not allow for a full MTO). Cam wins, 6-3, 6-1 in 1 hr 10

F: (1) Cameron Norrie WR 30 vs Brandon Nakashima (USA) WR134 (CH=133 in Feb). Head to head in Nakashima's favour, Delray Beach in 2020 in 2 sets L16.

Get in there, well done Cam! First ATP tour title and comfortably also. Winning as top seed, I feel, isnt easy and requires nerve and grit, which hes delivered with ease!

Absolutely brilliant news this morning. And it's been coming given his results so far this season. Delighted for him. Clearly spurred on this season by my ranking prediction at the start of the season. He is proving me completely wrong and I am glad to see it.

Cam has done so well this year my only surprise is that this is his first title. Well done Cam, there's more to come I am sure.

I guess Cam made the right choice to skip the Olympics after all.

So pleased that Cam finally has a title to his credit. Richly deserved given his consistence this year. Looking good I think for anyone who put Cam at No 1 in their rankings predictions. Not me I hasten to add.

Very good for Cam to get that first ATP tour singles title. It was a great opportunity given his form and a field he was top seed in but still very satisfying to take that opportunity.

He will rise to a further rankings CH of WR 29 and back up to race #12, now yet deeper into the year.

Having stated early this year that he wanted to finish the year in the top 30 and that that would be "huge" for him, it may have been a tough but understandable decision to miss the Olympics.
