I noticed Dodig and Polasek have officially split, both going with new partners. It opens a slot in the top 8 year end but also makes me wonder how doubles players prioritise their seasons - presumably reaching the tour finals is a nice to do and not necessarily a key aim of these guys?

They'll almost certainly qualify as Grand Slam winners, unless the US Open winners finish ahead of them but outside the top 7.

Ok, yeah, forgot that rule. If they choose to of course, they may qualify with their new partners given we still have 4 masters and a slam left to play.
