Told that per ATP documents circulated on Aug. 10: nine of the top 20 singles players were vaccinated, 18 of top 50; and 48 of the top 100. One hopes that's gone up in the three weeks since....
First set Sock was brilliant. Not sure what caused his injury but he does look out of shape for 5 sets of tennis though to be fair, dont know whether he can pull it around in 18 hours for doubles.
Didnt there used to be a rule of out of one event, out of the tournament? Clearly not nowadays. As a Sock fan I hope he can make it to play with Neal, Id have tipped them for the final or even to win it.
Also, I note the Dutch lad won again. Pleased for him
Yeah.
And the German 32 year-old, ranked 140 or so.
ANd the other German ranked 144 (Otte)
And the young American whom I thought was singularly underwhelming yesterday (Brooksby) but somehow managed to win, so what do I know..... (although maybe Karatsev ended up giving it to him - there was no contest in the bit of the second set I saw)
VDZ is 2 sets up against Schwartzman, I've never heard of him.
You've obviously never taken any notice of Challenger & Futures results on this board when he's played a Brit. He also lost to Dino in the first round of qualifying at Queen's in June.
Presumably Jim Courier is not up to speed with the fact that Evo has had Covid, being as he's just asked Tim Henman why his US hard court swing didn't start off too well.
