This is interesting. For my two Penneys worth, I would factor in an element of luck. The way our grass season is scheduled after the French doesnt give the juniors any time to grab a higher level GB tournament at seniors. They seem to be looking for w35s and maybe W 60s in UK to make a move. However I personally think Hannah needs a bit more time. She has a lot of expectation on those young shoulders and I sometimes think she needs more space. Mimi I think is older, more physically developed. However who knows. Along with Mika, there are others who could break through who we havent even got on the radar. Interesting times. There must be an element of serendipity.

Yes true Hannah does need space to grow. I also think she actually plays better at senior events and raises her game to match or better her opponent. I also think she has the best all round game (in my opinion) out of anyone in the world her age who I have seen (and I did catch some of Julieta's match on sky just now). When she gets stronger and maybe even a little taller these will help potentially separate her along with match experience. I also think she has great confidence and carries that well. All in all she is getting there! Just what I've noticed anyway.
Hoping Hannah has a good tournament in Shrewsbury and most importantly is enjoying her tennis, playing with freedom. I also hope her coach Ben Haran is with her.
Although Hannah is JR 22 on the 2024 end-of year ranking list in terms of points earned over the year, she is JR 19 in the official year-end rankings because three girls above her have not played sufficient tournaments - they have the points, but you need to tick the boxes of:
"To be eligible for a 2024 year-end ranking a junior must have played in a minimum of six
individual junior singles tournaments, including at least three Grand Slam and/or J500
tournaments and including at least three ranking tournaments outside his/her own country."
This means that Hannah will qualify as part of the Junior Accelerator programme
TBH, it doesn't/shouldn't make a huge amount of difference to her (her adult ranking is already good enough to get into most directly, and the LTA will give her wildcards anyway) but it may be a benefit, you never know.

What a stroke of luck .. It will get her into 5 competitions up to W50 for which she doesn't qualify / get wild cards for so that could be pretty useful at some point during the season
