L16:  (WC) Andy Murray WR 113 defeated Vasek Pospisil (CAN) WR 66 by 3 & 3  smile

A more straightforward win this time, on the face of it.

For me, winning consecutive days and yesterday being a 3 setter is a stunning, welcome and unexpected joy !

Actually to me not really after that US Open match vs Tsitsipas. It's there even if last week was not so good.

If you look at Andys challengers results they are typically Scottish - struggle against the likes of Luxembourg and Macedonia but put up one heck of a performance against Italy and Germany

He said in the court post match interview yesterday that sometimes he struggles in challengers as hes not use to the opponents as much.

Good to see andy string a couple of wins together again.  Like others have said elsewhere he's got a fair few points dropping off over the next month so every point counts at the moment.

Just seen that, in 5 weeks rankings projection he is down to nearly 200 with half his points going. At least hes got a full schedule ahead in SD, IW (hopefully) and Antwerp. Maybe others to follow?

Anyone know when GB pick the Davis Cup team? Maybe end October?

Right now , Dan, Cam, Andy, Joe and Neal would be a good squad.
