I see Liam is guaranteed a career High when his points are added, but as Andy Murray is finding out, it is quite hard to move from the 130's into the top 100.

OER live rankings has Liam on 567 points - Herbert at WR100 has 763, so quite a bit of ground to make up.

Stricker has retired

He looked OK but he was obviously trying to play really short points, coming to the net way more often, so obviously carrying some sort of strain of some sort.

Mind you, Liam gave him no quarter (I'm sure that playing Ram was great practice, he just picked him off, and then blasted him from the back too)

Hope Stricker's OK but certainly Liam won't have been tired out ::

Random observation but in Liams 8th challenger final it will also be against an 8th different nationality.

Has Liam won a challenger event before? I can only remember finals but that just be an age thing :)

See JonH's earlier post - second highest ranked plaer never to have won one.

Liam has 6 futures titles, the last being in 2016.

I agree that it is tough.  Interesting to note though that in the Live Race, Liam is currently at 95.  I am not sure how many players above him still have points counting that would have long since been dropped, if it wasn't for Covid calculations, but I think Liam has a good chance.
