Alves (age 20, junior CH 29) got knocked out last week in R1 - but it was against the interloper, Salton, who made the finals.
(Ryan P also beat him a few months ago but he's on a roll - mind you, he also lost to Giles Hussey back in June, 5-7, in the third)
Great to see Ali's run continue.
And frankly, whether it's him or Dan C who made them retire from the doubles yesterday, it's probably a good idea....

If Ali is fit, he can win this match. Hes playing 500 level currently and could certainly sustain at that level.
