Have a feeling we may see a fair bit more of Joe and Neal together once Ram & Ken retire.

Would be good I think. Ram's 37 years young though so might have a few top level years left in him yet.

Really want to see Dan do well at IW so not too bothered by this and certainly pleased for Cam.

QF: (4) Denis Shapovalov (CAN) WR 13 (CH = 10 in Sept 2020) vs Cameron Norrie WR 28

Denis is a fellow lefty.

Think i said in a previous post. He seems to be able to beat anyone outside the top 10-15. Think He's probably playing at top 30 level now.

Yes, as you said before Andy is falling just short against such players and annoyingly, other than in his recent challenger event which was maybe difficult to get up for, he is invariably meeting them by 2nd or 3rd matches. This is then limiting both the number of matches he is playing and his ranking points ( with his Antwerp 250 points for starters soon to drop off on top of 90, now net 70, this week ).

It is very encouraging form at a high level but he could really do with a big week to boost him ( I sense frustration ). He needs either a big win or two against top 15 players or a draw to more kindly open up for him as many draws can do. Or indeed perhaps a rather weaker 250 than this loaded one.

Cam beat Shapo in their only other match at Queens this year, in 2 sets. Would be great to repeat that tonight!!

Andy does seem to be playing well but coming up against those big names early - and strangely finding they arent falling before he gets to meet them and having an open draw.

He now as IW, Antwerp, Vienna and Paris to make that run. The fields at the last two will be deep and tough, IW may be his best opportunity to start in the last 96 and get a few rounds in, if he avoids a big seed in the last 64 or 32...

Turned on at 1-1 in the 2nd. Great play by Cam. Great result. And not too long a match either.
