Mike and Bob Bryan are still in the rankings at around 80th. Why on earth dont they take them out - surely it affects players at the margin of entries, all those below them lose a couple of places which could be important. Anyone who retires should be taken out immediately.

You really are talking right at the margins here on very close comparative entry rankings, and only possibly relevant in making a difference of 2 CR places if one pair had both players below the Bryans in the rankings and another pair seeking entry to the same event had just one player below them in the rankings.

Or they are up against singles players...

I have seen players taken out before, but I think it's only with the players permission.

True. I didn't think about that one. The margin gets rather bigger and to the possible benefit of players entering on their singles rankings at the expense of doubles players with possibly up to a CR 4 places worse off with the Bryans still there.

Jon might have a point

Ken and Jonny are cruising their match.

Anyone know if Ken and Neal have won titles in the same week with different partners?

Smashed it!!! They won 6-3 6-1 in 50 minutes,  opponents never saw a break point, and they won 24/25 of their 1st serve  points so into final.

Great result. Jonnys first final since the pandemic hit and Kens first final without Neal since 2016.

Edit: on the main tour not including Challengers

At least a double break gives you some insurance.

They have just lost out on a deuce point / MP / BP

6-3 5-3*
