So, Phoenix Weir and Isabelle Lacy won the singles titles, congrats to them!

Shame for Talia to be runner-up two weeks in a row.

But pleased for Isabelle. Who gets her revenge, having lost to Talia last week in the semis.

Like some others, saw her play on TV at junior wimbly and impressed with her game for a 2006-er.

Good win for Phoenix too (although I wasn't that impressed with Louis when I saw him play live this year)

COngrats, too, to Sam Reeve and Matt Rankin who took the boys' doubles title

And that is Matt Rankin's 7th title of the season, which is impressive although I have no idea if he is playing levels below where he should be. Nonetheless 7 is the most of our Brits on the Junior tour and only beaten by our wheelchair player, Alfie Hewett, this year

And Ranah Stoiber and Abby Kelliher take the girls doubles title

Wonderful for young Abby (born 2007) to get an ITF title.

Slightly strange that Ranah wasn't playing singles - maybe the level wasn't interesting enough? Or maybe she's got a slight injury?

Anyway, here's to our players:

girls singles
boys singles
girls dubs
boys dubs

I noticed there is a J5 and a J4 event back to back in Liverpool in mid November.

Anders Borg had a fall out with the council a few years back and moved it to the Wirral. Looks like it is back at Wavertree.

I'll find out the full story tomorrow as the tennis centre has only just re-opened having been a test centre for over 12 months.

The J5 is a joint event with Tennis Europe which I saw a Wirral last time as where I saw Mimi win it and Hep was playing doubles.

New LTA centre manager given Anders another chance.

He is notoriously difficult to work with.
