I never make assumptions on the basis of past results, especially where British players are concerned.    

 No, I wasn't making any assumptions either - just giving the extra info to make it more detailed as it implied that Shane was very strong as he'd beaten the top seed - of course, he might still win but the fact he lost to Broom last week has to be said in the same breath.
