I know folks like Indy are more attuned to this than I am. But with Andy falling down the live rankings this week, it looks like he needs to amass something like 400 points over the next four events hes entered to reach the top 100 by season end. 100 per week, average.
That feels like a big ask to me, can we see him getting 100 this week to get the ball rolling ?

Well to get 90 points this week hed need the 4th round. With wins over

Mannarino
Alcaraz

Thanks Madadman - so, that looks a stretch I guess, so we are looking like we are going to be fighting an uphill battle here to make the top 100 in 2021

A run through the US Open from qualifying would have been helpful.
... still there is always next year.

Not a great R1 draw for Andy with Mannarino WR 51 one of the higher non seeds he could have faced. Korda WR 40 is the 32nd seed. Still one he would certainly look to be winning on his form of late.
Get through that and (30) Alcaraz is a very decent R2 draw.
Get through that and R3 potentially (3) Zverev certainly not so much but could still be interesting.
Should Andy beat Mannarino.
I would not bet on Andy against Alcaraz normally, not reached his true ranking level yet imo. Only thing that is a leveller is that if Alcaraz plays it's his first match back from injury so might be a bit off.
L96: (WC) Andy Murray WR 121 (CH = 1 from November 2016 to August 2017) beat Adrian Mannarino (FRA) WR 51 (CH = 22 in March 2018) by 6-3 6-2
L64: (WC) Andy Murray WR 121 (CH = 1 from November 2016 to August 2017) vs (30) Carlos Alcaraz (ESP) WR 38 (= CH), aged 18, JCH 22 at age 16
Their first meeting. Both played 5 setters against Tsitsipas at the US Open, Andy just losing and Alcaraz just winning on route to the QF. Alcaraz's first match since the US Open and as said has been injured, retiring in that US Open QF against Auger-Aliassime.
