A win over Schwartzman and he would go above Dan.

Dimitrov has beaten top seed Medvedev in 3 sets ( I wouldn't imagine that Medvedev is a lover of these courts ).

So the other top half QF will be (23) Dimitrov vs (8) Hurkacz.

Andy's two mates (2) Tsitsipas and (3) Zverev are still going in the other half although still to play their L16 matches later tonight.

It seems cam and Schwartzman have a habit of going the distance

First match on court this evening

edit - the link wont work but shows cam is 2-1 head to head and all 3 matches in hard courts have gone the full distance including 5 at the us open last year

Its a recurring theme. He is so fit, it just grinds people down.

Having watched the first few points of the third set, I had full confidence he would win the match when I went to bed.

I'm a bit confused about the odds for this one on bet 365. It says that Cam's the underdog, yet in the preview blurb, it says that he should win?

Surely the odds are not just dictated by what experts/stats tell us should happen but also what the current market for the matchup is doing.

Indeed tennisabstract too says "favourite" but really their win percentages are a result of their algorithm and there will inevitably be some factors they are perhaps not allowing for enough such as latest form.

The bookies try to take everything into account with their initial odds though are liable to adjust them a bit in line with the weight of money on each outcome because they'ed prefer to hold on to their money.

Ha. Actually that wasn't bad for me. A short addition and two or three typo fixes.
