Excellent day for the Brits in singles

Just Andy playing tonight.

Lots of press and players commenting on the super slow conditions. Generally doesnt favour the Brits and Dan v Schwartzman and Cam v RBA could prove challenging.

I actually think it suits Andy , he can use his experience against Alcaraz and Zverev wont blow him off the court. Going to be interesting

I feared for Dan drawing Kei, thrilled he came through that.

Berrettini has won on Stadium 2. Andy vs Alcaraz next on.

Carlos takes the first set 7-5. Looks like Andy had more break points, but couldn't take his chances.

What happened to Andy - I looked and he was 3-0 , next time I checked in, 7-5 loss!

He had 3 break points for 4-0 but didnt convert and gradually got pegged back and reeled in. Had a set point at at 5-4* but couldnt take it and that was that.
Has just held for 1-0* in the second set which feels important in the context of the match but Alcaraz looks very very good to me.

Feels like Andy is holding on right now In the second set. At 1-1 he was *15-40 down, he got it back to Ad-up and then served an underarm serve to get an ace and lead *2-1. Dont think Ive ever seen an underarm serve from him before!

Saves another 2 break points at 2-2 and escapes to lead 3-2* (After a long long game!)
