It is a fabulous stadium, a beautiful day but only a couple of hundred people watching.  Dan gets the early break in the 2nd set.

Well that was some turnaround, saw the score at 5-2 just checked to see if the match was still live and had to double check the score

Apparently IW has the 3rd biggest tennis stadium in the world (2nd if you discount the O2) which is impressive (and some what bizarre) considering the size of city it's in.

Diego has got an early break in the 3rd cry

Its a case of build it and they will come. Theres been Atp tour tennis in la Quinta and Palm Springs since the 70s , wasnt the 1978 or was it 77 Davis cup held around here , USA beat Britain in the final. Womens tennis had the Indian Wells Virginia Slims from early 80s. So theyve developed and grown the resort and its become this tennis Mecca. Impressive as you say

Coachella is held here as well of course and the Joshua Tree album of U2, their best IMO, is paying homage to the famous tree of the desert here.

Quite a culturally rich place really

So on waking i was a little surprised to find Cam still playing (clearly my timezone knowledge let me down smile), but he has just broken to take the 3rd set, 6-3.

L32: Cameron Norrie (21) beat Roberto Bautista Agut (15) by 6-4, 5-7, 6-3

Super

Cam has now won more matches than he has lost this year against top 20 ranked players, having won all his matches against 11-20 players, generally at pretty good stages in tournaments so deservedly help push up his own ranking.

1-10 : W2 L7
11-20 : W6 L0
1-20 : W8 L7
