Tommy Paul in the last 16 - that is a draw you would sign up for in the last 16 of a Masters event. One more win for Cam and he takes out his career high I think (he is live 27 now, CH is 26, one more win would get him to 23 or 24 depending on ALex De Minaur's next match
So on waking i was a little surprised to find Cam still playing (clearly my timezone knowledge let me down ), but he has just broken to take the 3rd set, 6-3.
managed to get onto Prime and start watching and Andy has started set two well - 3-1 ahead and 30 all. Andy is taking the service return early and attacking and generally moving and playing well. Could be interesting
Andy played really well for much of that and again showed the level he is at. Onwards - Antwerp is a happy hunting ground for Andy so lets hope it proves so again next week.
Didn't see any of Andy's match but so pleased to hear from all sources that he was playing really well, and gave Sacha a real run for his money.
Love the comment from Dickson that:
"No faux mateyness between these 2 either, which adds interest"
(Andy is such a decent guy, we're so lucky he's ours)
Amazed to read that Cameron has always lost to Tommy Paul - never rated Tommy that highly (although that only has limited import ) and watched a fair bit of him when he was with Katie, for some reason. But definitely solid and not easy to beat, maybe that's it.....
Cam having a far better year though (41/20 in YTD win v loss, versus Tommy 14/19)
