Good day in Qatar.

Shame for Julian but it was an excellent score against the top seed.

And the maximum of GB wins in all the other matches.

I'm sure it was Julian's match but I think there was a MTO early in the 2nd but you say a decent score.

I don't know about Julian's match but there was a MTO at *0-1 in the 2nd set of Ryan's match. He had just been 40-15 up and threatening an early break and then had lost 4 points in a row. So I had a slight concern. But all turned out well.

Ryan retired in the 1st set after only 3 games. Not good, hope it's nothing serious.

Yeah, every time you see an MTO, or a retirement, for Ryan S, your heart just sinks....

Hope it's just a bug or a niggle .....

Doesn't look great for Ryan :(

He's also pulled out of the doubles (with Ali)

What an amazing fight from Dan Cox !

2 mins short of 3 hours - and he's managed to beat the top seed

A real dog-fight that one was.

Julian and partner got a win in the doubles, by a whisker, getting the second set, 7-6(5), after having lost the first, and then getting the MTB

But Dan Cox lost his dubs 9-11 in the MTB (mind you, he's played enough tennis for the day, poor lad)
