Definitely. 5 games on the bounce to take the first set, 6-4.

I think after 4-2 first set Andy just wasn't getting his first serves in so much and schwartzmann was getting into the match...as they said on commentary getting used to the court and the ball coming to him from Andy.

Did I hear Andy say 'help' as he sent another first serve into the net? I've never seen him make so many mistakes. It's a testament to the tennis he's played in between them that he held his serve here.

4-6 2-1*

An hour and 16 minutes played so maybe a third of the way through!

Great match in the end trading equally after AM's level rose again but DS's stayed where it was. Can't help thinking that Diego's freshness was a factor in him sneaking home.

Thats a shame , once again hes got the edge on the 25-50 level players, top 20 just a little too much. Andy assessed himself as 50-60 at a recent press conference and that seems reasonable.

I only caught the last couple of games, but Diego was just dominating from the back of the court. He gets into position very quickly and moves players round the court and rarely makes errors

Andy playing Vienna next week, and then should hear on Monday re the Paris wild card... he says he may well play qualies there if he doesnt get the main draw wild card. He is also planning on playing Stockholm as well, potentially (taken from his press talk and Mike Dickson)

With realistically just two spots now left open in the Tour Finals, Jannik Sinner in Antwerp is the main challenger for Cam to keep an eye on this week. His QF is later today. Schwartzman could still make it but is a lot further back

Lloyd Harris here is also in theory still able to qualify but realistically has little chance unless he goes on a career run over the next couple of weeks

Live Tennis.eu has called it for Rublev and Berrettini as qualified, the ATP havent done that yet, but it looks pretty much certain.

The rest of the top 20 in the Race could make it (bar Rafa) for the 2 places left to fill, plus Khachanov in 24th place - so 14 players still vying for 2 places which will make Vienna and Paris very interesting, and Stockholm could become the deal maker as the last event this season

A quick shout out to Amazon here. I dont have Sky and found myself with this "bonus" station where I thought we would watch an occasional film or whatever. The tennis has been top notch, way way above what I was expecting, the coverage has been first class with the studio teams and insight. I often tune in for a Brits match and not only saw all of Emma's stunning run in New York (surely a "moment in time" for any tennis fan) but last night as my evening of running kids about and homework was all built around watching this stunning match with Murray I couldn't help but feel how lucky I was to have this access. Long may it continue :) If anyone does not have the service but was thinking of it, I would have thought a tennis fan benefits more than anybody from what it offers compared to others?

 Well said Shhh.
