Is Dan not working with Sebastian Prieto anymore as he was earlier in the year?
Tx, madadman - looking up the picture, yes, pretty sure that's the guy who was in his box yesterday.
Ok, I must have missed that coaching situation - in which case, one should ask if it is working, the results dont seem to be reflecting that currently. As noted, he seems to be playing well enough, just not winning, so not sure if that is just a case of it clicking at some point or if something is missing at the business end of matches?
To my mind, though some frustrating losses to some very good players, Andy had already been well proving that he belonged at this level. A few better draws and/or getting on the right side of some tight matches and his ranking would have been well on the up towards a more realistic level.
Hopefully this win will give him a real boost.
A great win but I'm beginning to think I should stop watching Andy play. Due to work commitments I could only watch a small part of yesterdays game which was the second set! I'm sure he always does worse when I'm watching! Lets hope he can get a couple more wins here to move him ranking up.
Good result for Cam, it takes him top 10 in the Race at least until Sinner next plays, and importantly closes the gap slightly on Hurkacz. FAA is a challenger for Turin as well, one of the 10 players still with a chance, so this would be a good win for Cam to take!
Updated standings are below - admittedly the top 4 below have a big edge but FAA or Karatsev coming through this week with a title would be a big boost and the final 4 probably want to make sure they at least keep alive this week to make Paris interesting for them.
