Week 43 - ATP 500 - Erste Bank Open - Vienna, Austria (indoor hard)

In the Next Gen Finals, Italy also has Musetti qualified. After Sinner, FAA and Alcaraz are next qualified and as Indy says, both high in the main race. Good to see the younger group making an impact .

Of course , Next Gen runs up against Stockholm as well so both Sinner and FAA may prioritise chasing final qualifying points for Turin over Milan. And if Id secured my Turin place in Paris, Im not sure Id want to play Stockholm or Milan that week before Turin.

Tiafoe has beaten Sinner in their SF this afternoon so that halts the Italians' progress a little.
The Foe to face Zverev in the Final tomorrow.

Yes, can now add an OUT to Sinner too in the ATP race table above. So these remain the points for the leading ATP Finals contenders going into Paris.

And Zverev beating Alcaraz in the other SF means that the young Italian has lost his remaining very slim grip in the Finals race.

Rajeev had the trainer on early in the second set of yesterday's semi-final.  I wonder whether he was carrying an injury.

Shame but Paris and Turin are the biggies. And Davis Cup of course

And another really exciting match by Tiafoe (and very good tennis by Zverev, much as I'd have rather Frances had won)
