Final:  (5) Paul Jubb WR 370 vs (8) Sebastian Fanselow (GER) WR 441 (CH = 294 in July 2019)

The live scoreboard is showing the doubles final as the next match to be played...

The ITF site is currently showing the doubles final as Match #4 on that court "after rest". I suspect that now that the singles final is known it will come in at #3.

I tried checking that before I posted in the hope of making the information as up-to-date as possible, but the bloody thing kept saying it wasn't available!  furious

Looks like Pauls final is down for 18:30 start.

The iTF site had now been updated to show the singles final next as Match #3 at not before 6.30 pm.

All the best Paul.

Likewise the live scoreboard.  Tough day for Fanselow!

It's tougher for Paul really who has much less rest than his opponent.

I wonder how the order was decided.

It's irrelevant to Paul that Fanselow has a doubles final to follow and presumably also irrelevant to Fanselow until he has played the singles final.

So to my mind Fanselow's ( or his doubles partner's ) potential day's schedule should not in itself have been a reason for Paul being the later singles starter, if indeed they couldn't play the singles SFs at the same time.

At least Paul is getting a fairly decent rest but that was a whole 2 hours 41 minutes SF he played after Fanselow's shorter SF.

Paul off the boil today!  cry

Final:  (8) Sebastian Fanselow (GER) WR 446 defeated (5) Paul Jubb WR 361 by 6-1 6-7(3) 6-4

So Fanselow cleans up in Portugal:  he & Neuchrist won the doubles by a walkover.
