Given we already knew Sonay had pulled out of Montreal, it was good to hear her confirm that she is going off to the USA, with first Cincinnatti, then the US Open, followed by BJK Cup.

I suspect that at worst she and her team feel she needs a little time to settle injury niggles. But she has always seemed to take care to not overplay.

 Given how many players are skipping Montreal this year there probably isn't anything to worry about.

 Tried to watch recording, seems to be all Sinner  then cricket. Sorry if this misled anyone else. In Beijing thread someone gave a YouTube link, so hope there's better luck.

A super interview in The Times, wth lovely photos, and Sonay laying out very clearly how difficult it was for her at the start, with no LTA funding, lots of injuries, being one of the shortest players, and how the Covid lockdown sparked her love of the gym, which made such a big difference
