Sonay just posted on Instagram, back injury hasnt recovered as quickly as hoped so will miss the whole of the clay season and return when the grass season starts. Maybe Emma will do the same?

I guess it was tricky - she was just on a bit of a roll having beaten Keys and Navarro. Wouldn't have wanted to pull out ahead of a chance to take on the Aussie Open champ

Oh drat!! That extra match she played in Indian Wells when she knew she had a back issue ...

Has it only lately been diagnosed as a sress fracture?

I would imagine we are not in Katie Swan back territory if a 'normal' stress fracture?

Her Roland Garros to Wimbledon inclusive 2025 points totalled 401 ( 240 for Wimbledon L16 )

1019 - 401 = 618 points will likely drop her outside the top 120 in the rankings.
