In the end I gave my vote to Andy. I considered both Matilda and Ryan first, but I chose Andy because I decided it wasnt just about his results on the court alone (although hes had some very impressive results, and frankly done better than I expected at the beginning of the year), but for his influence, mentoring and championing of the sport and its players, especially the Brits, off the court. Im excited for 2022, particularly for the male British players pushing through towards top 250 and top 500.

Well said, JayKay, definitely agree and for that reason, Andy was a close call for me also.

He is still in the mix here with 1 1/2 hours left to vote.

29 votes placed, 1 1/2 hours left. Still time - the leader is 2 votes clear with two players in equal 2nd spot, so it could still go one of 3 ways

Remember, please, please dont vote on the dot of 5 pm!!! It just causes me a lot of stress!!!!!

4.59pm is fine, 4.55pm is better. 5 pm just causes me to call the vote, check, realise someone has swooped in and I get very, very anxious!!!

Ok, so we are done! And our wildcard is Ryan Peniston, although Matilda M and Andy M pushed him close

Well done Ryan, he goes into the main Player of the Season votes, which will be put up tomorrow. For now, an evening off!!

31 votes placed here, thank you for taking part
