15 votes placed. Remember it goes to 9pm tomorrow so plenty of time. Really hope we can reach the 40 mark!

Would also be great to see all players get votes here!

Quite nice in a way that everyone now has at least least one vote.

Though for PoS I would love to be able to fathom how that can be for instance Beth over Emma. Though so be it and I have been pretty enthusiastic about Beth in the forum and the final four would be my own final four.

I can kind of understand though not personally agree If by folk's personal algorithms not weighing singles much higher than doubles they can come end up with Joe. Some could arguably do with tweaking    Senior men's and women's singles start off as clear #1 for me and there has then been far too much to make up this year from any doubles, junior or wheelchair competitor with such an exceptional singles story - achievement, history, shock, emotion ( maybe difficult for an algorithm to deal with all of these ).

Cam certainly has had a great season and he would be my #2. Just this particular year for me he was nowhere close to my chosen PoS. Indeed even just on Slam stats, Emma in her 2 Slams reached the L16 at Wimbledon with little real prep ( remember that ) and I hear won the US Open, Cam's best was L32 albeit 3 times and tough L32 match ups..

Indeed, great to see and 23 votes in, all players have votes now.

it is actually quite close and in theory anyone could still win this - remember, we have until 9 pm this evening , so lets see whoever does win properly proclaimed by enough of this boards members to make it truly authentic.

can Beth do an Emma and cause surprise of the year?

can Cam cap his season and even top his IW win?

can Emma go out with a triple of US, POS and SPOTY?

and can Joe repeat and make it his second POS in succession?

If any player gets a wave of support, there are enough votes left to take it their way, however fanciful that may be!

Gone for Cam, did so well over the season. With clear goal to reach top 30 or whatever which he more than achieved. What Emma did was amazing and followed some decent wins in Nottingham that meant the qwc for Wimbledon went to a mdwc, whoever made that decision must have been grinning inside ever since wimbledon. It is what we hope for from wc to brits, but it so easily could have ended totally differently, for example if it stayed as qwc. Just explaining why I went for Cam, I think the word season did it for me.

In normal times, both Cam and Joe would be worthy winners and get my vote, but Emma's achievement in New York has rather overshadowed everything else and for me she is the overwhelming winner this year.

About 10 hours to go and 28 votes in. Come on folks who havent voted, Im looking for 12 more votes in 10 hours to reach a record 40!

You can do it!

Its probably down to 3 players with a mathematical as opposed to realistic chance but we wont know unless everyone votes !

Just one vote in it for second place now, could be a tight finish to this .

Please don't vote tactically here though for 2nd. There is just one winner. Vote for who you think it should be whoever that may be.

Haven't voted yet? Well vote now and give Jon his record count.
