Week 51 - ITF M15 - Monastir, Tunisia (hard)

QR1: Max Benaim (GBR) UNR def. Philip Sikman (GBR) UNR  6-4 1-6 10-7

QR1: Maceo Simpson (GBR) (born 2003) UNR v Ryuki Matsuda (JPN) UNR

QR1: Miles Groom (GBR) (born 2003) UNR v Giovanni Agostinetto (ITA) UNR

QR1: (q13) Ying Hou (GBR) UNR v SeiichiroIchikawa (JPN) UNR age 37*

(*This man has played a lot of tournaments in the 2 years - hats off to him for trying - not much success though)

Will be interested to see how Miles gets on - he's a decent junior who hasn't played quite as much as some of the others.

And Max, after his good results last week.

Just looking at a few tournaments he has played in always appears to be a few Japanese players. Maybe he's a coach but just enters as well.

That's a decent theory....

(Although, tbh, if I were that far off the ITF level, I don't think I'd enter if I were a coach - rather undermines your credibility a bit)

But there it ended - both Max and Miles lost pretty easily in the FQR - to the 5th and 6th q seeds

In the doubles, Miles Groom is in the main draw, with an Austrian, as wildcards, and playing against another wildcard pair.

Ying Hou is also in the doubles draw, as a DA with a Roumanian guy, playing an unseeded pair from Japan
