The bottom half of the draw, means if Choinski wins, then there will be a guaranteed GB finalist.
Draw is wide open and a fit Choinski would have a chance.
Even someone like Dan Cox could easily go deep.

Certainly quite a turnout of our best ranked non challenger level players with to start with 10 of the 12 ranked GB #12 to GB #23 ( between WR 400 and WR 700 ). Just #16 Brydan ( unsurprisingly ) and # 20 Jack PJ ( who actually shows on the entry list ) missing.

Jan plays the only pesky in Quarter 4 but there are two other perkies in Q3, indeed the 4th and 7th seeds.

Slightly sad that Phoenix has a hard draw but, tbh, he's had a great event already and there's plenty of time.... (indeed, Toby might be quietly smiling after the call today..... ..... fair dues and all that)

Also, would have hoped for a better draw for Felix but hey.....

I've got a soft spot for Jaime Angele and am pleased he's playing a non-Brit in R1

Good to see Jan back.

And some doubles specialists (Scott and Jonny B, for instance) and names from qualis in the dubs

Don't know if this has been covered before but looks like ranking points have changed for the ITF tournaments again.

This seems like a positive change, the points had definitely slipped too low. Any chance they will applied retrospectively?

First sets to:

Luke over Billy (didn't expect that)
Stuart over Harry
Charlie over Arthur
Giles over Dan L

And, deliberately to annoy the tournament referee,

Harry has taken the second set v Stu
Arthur ditto v Charlie
Dan L ditto v Giles
Billy ditto v Luke

And in the end, the higher ranked ones came through....

Stu won the third set 6-4
Charlie won the third 6-2
and Dan L won the third 6-3

So that's three wildcards out
