Great result for Jack.  Hard luck for Aidan earlier.

That means another tournament this week with two GB semi-finalists.  Roll on Jubb vs Clarke to see who completes the quartet.

Looks like a tight affair so far.

Was 3-3, with one break a piece, but Paul has just broken again to lead 4-3.

First set lands up going Jay's way, 6-4. Nip and tuck, in the 2nd. Currently 2-2.

Jay probably needed the win more. Good to see this should put in back in to top 200 again.

Good stuff.

Jack, Aidan and Paul all started the week not too far off their CHs.

Should now be CHs for all 3 plus, as said, Jay back into the top 200.

Now can a great week be capped off by an all British final?

Jack the lad takes the first set 6-4, looking good, had 2 BPs in the first game of set 2 but Piros played well and saved both. Only one DF so far and 5 aces.

Drapes breaks in game 3 and holds for 3-1....rallying well from the back and some nice touches around the net.

Edit - and it's all over, looking like Piros retired to hand Jack a place in the final. Shame to end that way but Jack was certainly on the way.

Come on now Jay!

Like his fellow countryman Jack, Jay takes the first set 6-4.

1*-2 in the second.....

Andreev plays a poor game at 5-5, his frustration boils over as Jay breaks to love!!

Come on Jay....

Edit - argh, Andreev breaks back to love and then takes the breaker 7-5....

Andreev is up and coming, only 20 and ranked 363, think Jay will have his work cut out in the 3rd if we're going to have an all-British final....
