Alcaraz and Berrettini as tight as it looked it would be. 5th set now.

Monfils looking very good on this Oz trip, Kecmanovic filling the Serbian gap well at the top of the draw.

Marriage appears to suit Monfils, would be happy to see him win.

Berrettini comes out in a fifth set tie break. Well done to him, might watch that later on highlights

Nadal also going great guns, crushing Khachanov.

Karatsev under fire though.

Top half building into a nice little half of the draw, quality wise. Whole draw left is decent tbf.

Karatsev and Mannarino split 2 tie break sets. 2 and a half hours for those sets; it is now half past midnight local time; think they could easily be looking at a 2 am finish and if it goes all the way, maybe 3 am!!

Pleased for Mannarino

I like Karatsev, but Mannarino makes me smile - he looks like a club player, all bambi legs, falling over himself, not a real crowd pleaser, and yet he's so smart, and deceptive.

I think there is  research that says marriage suits men better than women!

The healthiest and happiest population subgroup are women who never married or had children!

And Dan loses 4, 1, 1. FAA looking good this week.

Theres a few of the men I like playing well in the AO, its turning out to be a good last 16.

But the Brits are done for the event in singles

Dan loses out 6-4 6-1 6-1

Saw a bit of the 3rd set. reminded me of when Kyle blasted Dan off court in a Challenger final and Dan joked about having nightmares seeing the ball flying past him. FAA today just looked too strong.
