Nice win from Jay. He looked pretty comfortable in the final set, although his opponent had the physio on so may have had a niggle.

This is the first time Jay has come through singles qualifying at a main tour event (he got into Eastbourne 2018 through qualifying but as a lucky loser) and it will be his first ATP main draw outside the UK. It's also the city in which he reached on of his Challenger finals (and presumably the same venue) .

Poor Dan. I have friends who tested positive November with I assume Delta, now positive again with Ormicron.

Good work Jay! He's been stuck for so long between the 158 and 250 mark, really hoping he can have a good year and finally kick on through that top 150 barrier.
