Week 6 - ATP 500 - Rotterdam, Netherlands (indoor hard)

Very quiet here.

Anyway I have come back from my shopping trip to see :

QF : (3) Felix Auger-Aliassime (CAN) WR 9 (=CH) beat Cameron Norrie WR 13 (CH 12 in November 2021) by  7-5 7-6(4)

Cam saved a couple of MPs at *5-6 in the second set to no avail.

Didnt realise it was on! Lost sight and went out to have some food.

Shame but Cam has got his mojo back against FAA who is a top ten player. Ok for Cam. Onto the Americas now!

Their R2/QF indeed. And 180 ranking points so far.

QF: (4);Wesley Koolhof (NED) & Neal Skupski CR 40 (21+19) beat Rohan Bopanna & Denis Shapovalov (IND/CAN) CR 112 (35+77) by  6-4 3-6 [10-7]

A couple of good singles operators next

SF: (4) Wesley Koolhof (NED) & Neal Skupski CR 40 (21+19) vs Lloyd Harris & Taylor Fritz (RSA/USA) CR 386 (196+190)

Harris is actually playing with Tim Pütz.

I note the progress of Jiri Lehecka, a player I have not heard of. Only 20 years old, he came through qualies and beat Shapovalov in the ffirst round.  He finds himself in the QFs. Clearly a player to watch.

Well, you win 'Finger on the Pulse of the Week Award', SteveMcQ biggrin

I note that young qualifier, Jiri L, has made it through to the semis - and has just taken the first set off Tsitsipas

Neal & Wesley lost the TB and then missed out on 4 BPs in the first game of Set 2.

6-7(3) *0-1

And Neal and Ken lose that opener. Going to need to do this one in an MTB!

Just watching , Neal is playing a drain in the bit Ive seen. Nonetheless they took that second set and into an mtb.

Harris serve, particularly his second is massive .
