Evos draw is handy and he and Andy could play last 8. Andy has to beat last his AO foe in Daniel so that will be intriguing!

Almost, Davidovich Fokina or Jaziri. Taro Daniel plays Andy in a AO rematch

Andy is on around 3 pm today; before that, Neal and Evo/Ken should be on around 2-10pm.

Andy takes the first set 6-2.

1-1 one break each in the second. Not on Eurosport or Amazon Prime sadly.

Andy wins 6-2, 62

Meanwhile this forum is concentrating on doubles results.

Any comments guys? Or are we concentrating on 2 men a dog matches?

Ive only saw a few clips on some of the shots and he looked well on it today, Daniel had no answer to him putting everything back in play.

Could be the start of something special here. Also means he keeps his live ranking at 87, so any other wins should move him up.

It is the middle of the working day Jaggy, I am afraid, so sometimes work gets in the way - I literally didnt see a shot and indeed forgot it was on.

Main thing for me is the turn around of the score line from when he lost 4,4 and 4 or some such to Daniel in Melbourne. This is comprehensive and , being honest, I wish he had done it in Melbourne and not here, but I will take this!!

RBA next, which will be tough, but a good start

He needs probably a semi final run here to improve his ranking. Even with todays win could end up down at 90-95 otherwise. Its only important in terms of avoiding the need for Wild Cards and seedings going forward.

Andy up to live 88 for now though .

Koolhof and Neal won in an MTB.

Dan and Ken look like theyll lose.

Andy is 30th in live race which is a good reflection of where he stands currently

Looks like one of his most routine wins of recent times, which is a postive sign
