RE: Week 8 - ATP Challenger 80 - Forli, Italy (indoor hard)

Jack got off to a poor start in the final set tb, but he turned it around.  When he was two mini breaks down at 4-1, I feared the worst.

Back to 5-5. Jack with plenty of racket throwing now. Think he just got a warning.

Yes he did, for unsportsmanlike conduct and on another occasion he yelled at the umpire and she agreed with him but said "I don't think you should shout to me that way"!

Since I made a cocoa and sat in front of the computer once I realised what was going on, I don't think he dropped a point LOL

Jack has a day off tomorrrow which is probably a good thing. Today's match was 2 hours 40 minutes and a very close affair. Dr Steve recommends a couple of beers  after his warm down and some sight seeing tomorrow. According to Google and Wikipedia, it is a decent town.

A potential R2 match up with Kyle's old pal Damir Dzumhur, who has fallen to 141 in the rankings and plays today.

Good to see Jack get that win. Hoping for a couple more to back up the title.

In actual fact, Dzumhur gets run over by a Ferrari in straights, so the qualifier ranked 908 will be Jack's next opponent.

And Tennis Abstracts forecast tool has Jack in as second favourite for the tournament in fact, behind Machac, and that was also before Dzumhur had lost - so clearly favoured for the final at least, which would be a very good back up for last weeks win, if he can manage to do that

Obviously nothing is certain, but Jack's got to be happy with that.  And with the prospect of a match against another qualifier if he gets through to the QF.

I always think its weird that the name Ferrari, having such an exotic seeming reputation from a brits perspective, is actually just the Italian version of Smith (its like Ferreira in Portuguese - I guess its to do with blacksmiths working with ferrous metals etc)
