I just watched some bits from the match without knowing the result - really enjoyed it. Interesting to see Jack slap and kiss his bicep when he won - I guess hes feeling gym work hes done paying off? I was worried a little when after breaking in the first game of the third set he missed a shot on the 45th stroke of the rally and fell over (he seems to like a little drama like that) - though it was interesting that after about 30 shots Jack started going for more. I thought maybe Mmoh might start to wear jack down but it hes pretty consistent at the moment. He won the next point with a drop shot pass combo after about 25 shots!
The fatigue is understandable so Im impressed. Biggest concern was how poorly he lost his two service games at the end of the first set - other than those two games though he was clearly the better player
i saw an interview somewhere from Jack where he said he'd realised he needed to work harder off the court, I think he said to avoid injuries but probably also to have more stamina. It's certainly paying off because he's had a really strong run of matches, and although visibly more tired than at the first of this group of Challengers, he's finding a way to still win.
Jack should get Player of the Month just for that tie-break alone
For those who didn't see it, he was 0-5 down, with the US guy playing some excellent winners and aggressive tennis.
Back to 3-5
Down 3-6
An ace and a service winner. 5-6
Ritschard then serves for the match, thinks he's made the winner but it's called out (he's not happy but I saw it out - unlike Jack's serve before that which might possible have been long)
Another MP to him at 7-6
But another ace from Jack.
Jack gets a MP at 7-8 but is way too tentative on the return.
