For the first six weeks of the year Blu Baker was the only ranked Brit to play an overseas futures. Three more ventured out last week, and of course with the end of this run of British futures more again are out this week.

Mark's match was held over near the end of the second, from last night.

Mark should really have won the first, was in control, but he made irritating mistakes, too far back, footwork, silly unforced errors, and - really - I was almost rooting for the other guy by the end.

It finished off quickly today:

FQR: (q3) Mark Whitehouse WR 660 LOST TO (q10) Matt Kuhar (USA) WR 952 5-7 4-6

Mark does seem to be on a very lean spell.
